Uses:
It is used as oxidant for dyestuff, condensation agent for intermediates, mordant, catalyst for organic synthesis, and also used for photography, industrial sewage treatment, deodorization of domestic sewage, chlorination of silver ore and copper ore, and making other iron salts, etchants, pigments, inks and so on.Its hexahydrate is used as a medical astringent,hemostatic agent and a diagnostic method for phenylketonuria.
